CHASITY

Chasity has been the rock in my life for the past four years, she was a former dancer and then started assisting with practices, performances and games for the following 4 years. She is also the #1 babysitter, helper and on hands gal for my family. I know I can trust her with my babies, my team and anything I'd ever need. She also knows me better than most people do just because of how much time we have spent together. So its fitting that she is named after the ROCK necklace with a splash of sherbet orange for Ames High where we first met when she was a tiny freshman and now has impacted my life in such a big way.

SARA

Sara and I grew up together being inseparable friends who told each other everything. I named this necklace for her because she is soft like the pink, her eyes are green, and the flower reminds me of one of the best bouquets of flowers I've ever received, you see we both entered a pageant in Omaha when I was 15, she 16, there was a TON of girls who were polished, taller, prettier etc. I remember us feeling pretty out of their league, I was the typical farm girl, she was the typical small town sweetheart competing against big city glam girls. Well long story short, we made top ten, then after an onstage interview session were BOTH announced as winners in our division! It was surreal and a memory I will never forget. She lives 3 hours away but we try to get our little girls together as often as possible!

CAROL

Carol and I worked together for 8 years at the Radio station. She was an amazing mentor who turned into a lifelong friend. She has transferred into management at the station, battled cancer, and been a shining example of a supportive wife and mother. I hope I can accomplish and be as respected in all my roles in life as Carol is. I named this necklace after Carol because she has sparkle and spreads her sparkle to everyone who meets her. You will not find a more caring individual, she is a big picture visionary with tons of class. So yes of course I would name the necklace that matches everything after her.

LESA

Lesa, everyone should have a Lesa in their life. Lesa is the type of friend who can say the things your mother wants to but you take it better from a friend. During my pregnancy's she would call and make sure I was staying off my feet, drinking water and getting enough sleep. During Nathan's accident she visited the most and she lives 40 min away. She watches over me and tells me when to slow down, she is very loving and our relationship has evolved to be as close as sisters. She not only watched over me as friend but she is the perfect mom, she always has a bandaid, sunscreen, extra sandwhich packed, anti-bacterial etc. When I look at this necklace I am reminded of the best vacation we went on with Lesa and her husband to the Whitehouse Sandals resort, the blue reminds me of the ocean and the crystal of the sand. It was a magical trip.

JULIE

Julie is so fun to be around, she was the class clown, the girl who has you constantly laughing and she is always the life of the party. Julie will tell you a memory we both share when she was not laughing-that would be when my horse bucked her off and she broke her wrist, yeah sorry about that Julie! Julie and I have many good memories during swing choir and vocal shows. During our careers we both traveled alot and would call when on the road to talk, and no matter how long it had been between chats one can always just pick right back up with out missing a beat with Julie. Julie has a son and daughter so this is the inspiration for this brown, pink and blue necklace. It is accented with silver. Julie has the original version.

KATIE

Katie is the prettiest red heads you will ever find. So poised and graceful, you would never know she lives in a house full of boys! I met Katie when newly pregnant with Joscelyn, it was exciting and new, we were also working together helping brides choose the dress they were destined to wear on their special day, she was wonderful, always so sweet to everyone she met. It was fun to listen to her talk about getting married and having babies someday and now here we are 8 years later with 5 between us and still great friends. Katie is like lace, just beautiful with out much effort. The amber colors of this necklace reminds me of her.

The center piece may not be able to be exactly duplicated as it is a custom item, but something similar can be done.

LINDA

Linda was one of the first people to welcome me to Ames and become like a favorite Aunt to me. We have house sat for her and watched her 3 daughters while they were gone on trips and love the time spent around her and her family, its often spent laughing. My husband and I share her as one of our BFF's, we go to lunch with her often. She loves Aqua, so much in fact her kitchen is painted this bright hue. One of our favorite things about Linda is how she tells it like it is, no fluff added, however she has a huge heart and would gladly help anyone.

GINA

Gina is not only a teacher but one of the kindest souls you will ever meet. Have you heard the famous quote "Everything I needed to know I learned in Kindergarten". Its TRUE! Gina was such a loving and guiding hand to my scared little muffin, and due to her love and patience, Joscelyn and Gina will forever share a bond. I feel as a parent it is a huge challenge to drop your 5 year old child in front of a large building in which you and her know no one, and say "See ya in 7 hours". I remember being physically ill but trying to put on a brave face. Gina showed us the many colors of how a great teacher can effect a life- she taught us both lessons we will cherish forever. Queen Bee

JOSCELYN

Joscelyn is my oldest daughter and is a mini-me in many ways. We both love yellow and Joscelyn was a great helper by putting this necklace together, I laid out the pattern and she completed it. Joscelyn works best in the "pattern" mode, she wants everything to flow and works best through a chart or checklist. This necklace is a bright color like Joscelyn, she is an excellent student, yet not too flashy another point like her as she really doesn't like the spotlight. The yellow also makes me think of Joscelyn's long blonde hair that is nearly to her tush.

I would use this always as an accent piece, its a rare color of yellow and probably cant be matched. I would wear this with turquoise, grey or black. The side beads didn't photograph as well but they have small veins of black through them like marble.

BETH

The Beth is named for my intelligent and well dressed friend Beth. I laugh writing this because Beth and I were on a girls night out the night we found this center stone. Beth LOVED it, and therefore wanted it. She dropped many hints that night for the owner, and they were missed. Thus we left with out the bead, but now we both have one and so does our friend Renee. This necklace will remind me of what fun girls night outs are and how important they are, good friends are worth their weight in GOLD! Beth and I knew "of each other" back in high school dancing at the same studio taking the same classes. We met later in life at church and through a common friend. Beth loves to shop, and always know exactly what an outfit needs. She is a music and Hollywood buzz enthusiast and owns great shoes.

This necklace didn't photograph as well as I'd like-but the beads on the side are plum crystals, dyed pearls with a pink hue, and plum with white swirl glass ones. I photographed it on white to show the beads more.

BETSY

Betsy, is named after my cousin who LOVES that team a little east of here that just won some bowl named after a fruit. Hee. The perfect Yellow, Black and White necklace with a touch of sophistication on the end makes great piece. The glass beads are see through around the edges much like Betsy's profession as she daily helps others as a Radiology Tech. Although I doubt this is a piece Betsy would wear at this point in her young life, I feel she may wear it more in a few years once she graduates from PA school, we are all so proud of her.

I would wear this with black if cheering the certain team hinted at above. I also think it would be a fun GLITZ item to wear with Kelly Green in the Spring, Royal blue in the Summer, and Orange or Red in the fall.

RENEE

Renee, loves pearls, loves Gilbert, loves ISU. This necklace is perfect for my dear friend who I lovingly got to know because of her kids who were loved daily also by Grandma Jean. This necklace is great because its a traditional black and white combo with a BIG splash of color, just like Renee. Renee is vivacious, and always in the "know". She has a bouncy haircut and attitude, being in her presence you can't help but catch her contagious excitement.

This necklace can be accented with any color, the center is a dyed pearl. I like the variance of the stones in the stands, there is no pattern just lots of color and contrast in texture and shape.

SALLY

Sally, is the friendly face in the Ames High Athletic office that meets me every time I go to Ames High, I'm sometimes in a rush but I always stop and chat with her because she is so so so nice. I've never seen her ruffled, she is always composed. The multi strands also stand for the MILLION things and answers she does and gives out daily to help make my job as a coach easier!

This 6 strand wreath necklace can be customized to any 3 colors. Or black and white with a different accent color. I of course wear this to my many Ames High functions. It is a great piece, and can be made in a variety of lengths. It includes zebra beads, black multi faceted large and small ovals, squares and balls, swarovski crystals, orange seed beads and more, its all in there!

DEANNA

Deanna is the epitome of the true friend. She is Christ centered and will see the very best in everyone she meets and in every situation. I call her when I miss her, when I need a kick in the tush, when I need to vent, when I need insight. This necklace is named for "D" because of all the different situations we have talked about over the years, you name it we've discussed it and although our relationship has always been strong, we have both been through so much

and have traveled down much different roads than the roads we were on when we first met.

This necklace can be worn as a double strand or a long necklace. It looks great to dress up the winter turtleneck and goes with nearly every color. If you wear more neutral tones, this would be the perfect pop of color to finish an outfit.

EMILY

Emily is one of my alumni dancers, her favorite color for 4 years was black. Black outfits, black fingernails, black hair, black eyeliner. But the mental picture you have of this dark diva is not the one you would see when I would introduce her to you. She is black in all the classic ways, reliable, comfortable, understated yet deep, diverse, and the perfect friend always.

This double strand necklace has black onyx large, medium and black squares, long faceted ovals and is spaced with a silver textured round bead. The center is very artsy like Emily in a swirl type pattern with a rhinestone in the center, that grabs your eye as Emily grabs your heart when you meet her.

TIFFANY

Tiffany is one of my high school girlfriends. Not meeting till the 6th grade, we still shared many memories together. Tiffany is named after my lime green zebra bead necklace because she is a world traveler and loves adventure. She backpacked in Australia, goes to Maui every March, has been to Ireland, India and many cities across the US. She also has visitied all major Big 12 cities because she played softball for Iowa State for 4 years. She has the sassy personality to carry off this necklace topped with a beautiful shiny square center, Tiff also has the original version of this piece of GLITZ

BRIETTA

BRIETTA is my friend who I admire because she is so natural. Her skin is beautiful, she doesn't need make up and she is one of those that can jump out of the shower and her hair just drys GREAT-ugh soooo jealous! Brietta is a very thoughtful and caring teacher who puts her students needs at the top of her list. When she is sick she goes in and takes 2 hours writting lesson plans for her sub to make sure everyone gets the guidance they need. She reads books on how to be better, she takes the time to make sure she is the best she can be, teaching is more than a 9month pay check. What a wonderful person to have working for our children and their futures. She loves Red and Brown, and I love these colors adorned with a very cool aqua green stone.

IRELAND

Ireland is my daughter who is 5.

She helped make this necklace and I feel it describes her perfectly.

She is very "colorful" in her statements and in her attitude, just like the strands of this necklace.

As colorful and funny as she is she also loves sparkle and loves blue (this week at least), so the center Turquoise bead is perfect for her adorned by the Swarovski crystals.

Welcome!

Its' a snowy day in Iowa today, big shock I know, its so bad however that the 3 kiddos are home with me as there is no school. This is actually fitting as I really feel I shine best when multi-tasking. I mean why wait till tomorrow to start posting, the house will be so quiet and clutter and boxing match free? Seize the day!

Today I am posting pictures of necklaces, the GLITZ you are looking for. I like having pieces that other women BUZZ about and I know are unique. It's an extra bit of confidence when entering a room. Materialistic? Maybe. Does it work? Every time! A Queen walks in the room with her head held high and she rules the room. I hope you can find designs that will help you take charge of who you are and be BEE-autiful and confident. Take charge of your own destiny and BEE who you want to be by adding that extra pop to your ensemble.

Each GLITZ piece was made with love, and with a memory in mind. I am blessed to have a court of queens in my life who make my days much richer. The Bee came to mind because my last name starts with a "B" and because bee's spread pollen to flowers to help them bloom and I hope my creations help you bloom!

Every design has been named for one of them with a short story attached that I hope you enjoy! No two necklaces are alike except they all have 3 beads at the end of each strand before the clasp, they represent my three greatest creations, my children.
